On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Michael Stephen Schutte was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of failure to appear in the first degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 15 when the defendant, having been charged with the crime of felon in possession of a firearm, a felony, and having by court order been released from custody under a release agreement upon the condition that the said defendant would subsequently appear personally in connection with a charge did unlawfully and knowingly fail to appear as required.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Jerrad M. Watson was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of failure to appear in the first degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 10 when the defendant, having been charged with the crime of felon in possession of a firearm, a felony, and having by court order been released from custody under a release agreement upon the condition that the said defendant would subsequently appear personally in connection with a charge did unlawfully and knowingly fail to appear as required.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Joel Jacob McConnell was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 10 when the defendant unlawfully and knowing possess methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Jay J. Wood was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on two counts. Count one was for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 10 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly deliver methamphetamine in a quantity exceeding 10 grams. Count two was for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 10 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly possess methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Robert Edmond Burkett, Jr. was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on three counts. Count one was for felon in possession of a firearm. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 6 when the defendant, having previously been convicted of the felony of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine unlawfully and knowingly had in said defendant’s possession, custody or control of a firearm, to wit: a .357 caliber pistol. Count two was for unlawful possession of a firearm. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 6 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly possessed a handgun, to wit: a .357 caliber pistol that was concealed and readily accessible to the defendant within a vehicle. Count three was for driving under the influence of intoxicants. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 6 when the defendant unlawfully drove a vehicle upon a highway or premises open to the public, to wit: Westside Road at or near Dog Lake Road while under the influence of intoxicants, to wit: alcohol and/or controlled substances.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Jerad Michael Search was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of failure in the first degree. The charge stemmed from incident on or about July 27 when the defendant, having been charged with the crime of aggravated animal abuse in the first degree, a felony, and having been released from a correctional facility subject to a forced released agreement, unlawfully and knowingly failed to appear as required.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Robin Jean Bond was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 26 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly possessed methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Heather Dawn Arruda was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count of tampering with a witness. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 11 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly attempted to induce Lori Walker, a person the defendant believed may be called as a witness in an official proceeding, to offer false testimony or unlawfully withhold testimony.

Lake District Hospital had 10 admissions and 93 emergency calls for the week of Tuesday, Sept. 29 to Monday, Oct. 5. Not all names of patients are admitted t the hospital are released for publication.

Lakeview Police Department

Saturday, Sept. 5 – Lakeview Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Lake County Fairgrounds regarding the report of a fight. As a result, one juvenile was arrested for assault.
Friday, Sept. 11 – At 11 a.m., Lakeview Police Department conducted a traffic stop on North E Street at 1st Street. Augusto Badillo was issued a citation for no driver license and his vehicle was impounded per Lakeview Police Department policy.
Tuesday, Sept. 29 – At 11:50 a.m., Lakeview Police Department received a report of a violation of a restraining order. Morgan Bruce Langslet was arrested for Violation of Restraining Order.
Thursday, Oct. 1 – At 8:50 a.m., Lakeview Police Department responded to the report of an erratic driver. Vicki Adornetto was arrested and lodged without incident for DUII Controlled Substance.
Thursday, Oct. 1 – At 10:38 a.m., Lakeview Police Department assisted the Lake County Community Correction and arrested Tyler Reed for a parole violation.

 

Oregon State Police Department

Thursday, Sept. 24 – At 11:23 a.m., a vehicle was traveling south on Hwy 395 near MP 135. The juvenile driver drove off the roadway then over-corrected trying to regain control. The vehicle rolled several times and came to an uncontrolled rest in the ditch. The driver sustained moderate injuries. The vehicle sustained major damage. Lakeview Auto towed the vehicle. Lake County Sheriff’s Department assisted on scene.
Sunday, Sept. 27 – At 9:48 a.m., a driver lost control of their vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle went off a steep embankment and came to an uncontrollable rest on its top. The driver was transported by air ambulance to Sky Lake Medical Center while the passenger was transported by ambulance to Lake District Hospital. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lakeview Towing. Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Bureau of Land Management assisted on the scene.
Sunday, Sept. 27 – At 8:14 p.m., Richard Bruce Dent, 63, was westbound on Hwy 140 near MP 15.5 when he fell asleep, drifted onto the north shoulder, over-corrected and drove down the south embankment into the creek. Dean Lawrence Towing from Bly recovered the vehicle from about 4-5 feet of water. Dent was cited for careless driving.

Lakeview Police Department

Wednesday, Oct. 14 – At 5:30 p.m., Lakeview Police Department investigated a residential burglary in the 400 block of South E Street.
Friday, Oct. 16 – Dustin Herrick was arrested on an outstanding Lake County warrant.

 

Oregon State Police Department

Wednesday, Oct. 14 – At 1:03 p.m., Kirk Gearhart, 36 of Lakeview, was contacted at his residence. He was subsequently taken into custody for a warrant. He was lodged into the Lake County jail.
Wednesday, Oct. 14 – At 1:07 p.m., Patrick McLain, 33 of Lakeview, was stopped in a traffic stop. McLain was cited and released for a probation violation warrant.
Friday, Oct. 16 – At 1:29 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle that Brandon Deport Arnold, 26, was riding in. Arnold was identified and a warrant for his arrest was confirmed. At approximately 1:46 p.m., Arnold was placed under arrest and lodged in the Lake County Jail.
Sunday, Oct. 18 – At 9:04 a.m., it was reported that Lacy Irene Campuzano, 34 of Lakeview, was at Tim Johnson’s trailer in New Pine Creek. Johnson is wanted on an on outstanding felony parole warrant. Johnson fled on foot and was not captured. Campuzano was taken into custody for hindering and lodged in the Lake County Jail, bail set at $10,000.

 

Lake County Sheriff’s Department

On Saturday, Oct. 10, a North County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a 911 report of an assault at the Summer Lake Hot Springs, involving a duck hunter and another person opposed to hunting.  The investigation resulted in an arrest of a 56-year-old male for disorderly conduct.  The arrestee was booked into the Lake County Corrections Facility.  Investigation is ongoing.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14, a North County Deputy responded to a 911 complaint involving a stolen vehicle, an assault and a motor vehicle crash.  The investigation extended over two days, which consequently resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old female who is a resident of North Lake.  The female arrestee was booked into the Lake County Corrections Facility for sodomy and sex abuse first degree, burglary first degree, criminal mischief first degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and a misdemeanor assault.  Investigation is ongoing.

The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Oct. 5, having been charged with the crime of possession of methamphetamine, a felony, and having by court order been released from custody under a release agreement upon the condition that the said defendant would subsequently appear personally in connection with a charge did unlawfully and knowingly fail to appear as required.
On Friday, Oct. 2, Joseph Wayne Cheek was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on four counts. Count one was for kidnapping in the first degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 24 when the defendant, acting together with James Borchers did unlawfully and knowingly, without consent or legal authority take a minor from one place to another with the intent to interfere substantially with the personal liberty of said minor, and with the purpose of furthering the commission of or an attempt to commit the crime of first-degree rape against said minor. Count two was for rape in the first degree. The charge stemmed on or about Sept. 24 when the defendant, acting together with James Borchers, unlawfully and knowingly engage in intercourse with a person who was incapable of consent by reason of mental incapacitation and physical helplessness. Count three was for endangering the welfare of a minor. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 24 when the defendant, acting together with James Borchers, unlawfully and knowingly permit a person under 18 years of age to remain in a place where unlawful activity involving controlled substances was conducted. Count four was for endangering the welfare of a minor. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 24 when the defendant, acting together with James Borchers, unlawfully and knowingly permit a person under 18 years of age to remain in a place where unlawful activity involving controlled substances was conducted.
On Friday, Oct. 2, James Patrick Borchers was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on five counts. Count one was for kidnapping in the first degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 24 when the defendant, acting together with Joe Cheek, unlawfully and knowingly, without consent or legal authority, take a minor from one place to another, with the intent to interfere substantially with the personal liberty of said minor, and with the purpose of furthering the commission of or an attempt to commit the crime of first-degree rape against said minor. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant, acting together with Paula Esposito, unlawfully and knowingly possess methamphetamine. Charge two was for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant, acting together with Paula Esposito, unlawfully and knowingly possess methamphetamine in a quantity of 10 grams or more. Charge three was for unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant, acting together with Paula Esposito, unlawfully and knowingly manufacture methamphetamine. Count four was for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant, acting together with Paula Esposito, unlawfully and knowingly delivery methamphetamine. Count five was for endangering the welfare of a minor. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly permit a person under the age of 18 years to enter or remain in a place where unlawful activity involving controlled substance was maintained and conducted. Count six was for endangering the welfare of a mine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly permit a person under the age of 18 years to enter or remain in a place where unlawful activity involving controlled substance was maintained and conducted. Count seven was for endangering the welfare of a minor. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant unlawfully and knowingly permit a person under the age of 18 years to enter or remain in a place where unlawful activity involving controlled substance was maintained and conducted. Count eight was for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine substantial quantity. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 25 when the defendant, acting together with Paula Esposito, unlawfully and knowingly delivery methamphetamine in a quantity exceeding 10 grams.
On Tuesday, Oct 13, Maisie B. La Plant was indicted by a Lake Count Grand Jury on one count of failure to appear in the first degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Sept. 21 when the defendant, having been charged with the crime of possession of methamphetamine, a felony, and having by court order been released from custody under a release agreement upon the condition that the said defendant would subsequently appear personally in connection with a charge did unlawfully and knowingly fail to appear as required.
